Trica™ was founded in 1988 by the Caron brothers. Its success has been based on quality: quality products, quality service, and quality relationships with customers, employees, and suppliers. The Caron brothers still own and operate the company in St-Jerome (Quebec), Canada. The company advocates and promotes a society dominated by knowledge, democratic relations, and a culture of entrepreneurship, innovation, and openness towards new ideas.
Trica™ provides its employees with a safe work environment, health insurance, learning possibilities, equal work and professional development opportunities, and multiple social benefits. We believe in our corporate social responsibility (CSR): Trica™ and its employees are proud supporters of the local United Way of Canada.
We use certified renewable wood
We use solid wood that comes from governmental forests in Quebec, Canada. The management of these forests is based on the Timber Supply and Forest Management Agreement which allows the natural ecosystem to maintain itself. The government guarantees long-term supplies to the forest companies, and in return, it requires that they manage the forest responsibly to maintain or increase its productivity.
We use recycled and recyclable steel, aluminum, and plastic. Recycled materials require less processing and fewer resources. Technologies are constantly improving, meaning that recycled plastics and metals are continually improving in quality. Depending on the availability and the suppliers, the steel, aluminum, and plastic used by Trica ™ are made from 10% to 80 % of recycled materials. We also recycle 100% of internally generated steel, aluminum foam, plastic scraps, and all cardboard, paper, and glass.
Our Paint is Lead and VOC Free.
When you buy a piece of furniture, bring it home, and set it down in a room, it doesn't just sit there. No matter what it's made of, it's off-gassing (or releasing substances into the air). Almost everything is off-gassed, which isn't necessarily bad, but synthetic materials or those treated with synthetic substances can off-gas toxic chemicals. Volatile organic compounds, or VOCs, are the most common family of chemicals that are off-gassed and have been linked to congenital disabilities, endocrine disruption, and cancer. Trica's™ a high-temperature baked lead-free powder coating protects steel and aluminum products. Zero VOCs! Furthermore, Trica's™ upholstered seat boards and table tops are produced using low formaldehyde particle boards.
Our Products Can be Disassembled and Recycled
Trica™ products are good eco-friendly furniture and lend themselves to easy repair, disassembly, and recycling. Our products can be easily taken apart, sorted into their constituent parts, and recycled at the end of their useful lives.
Our Furniture is Durable and Fixable
Durability is one of the most critical but often overlooked aspects of green products (and this definitely goes for furniture). If something is challenging and/or can be readily repaired, this lessens the chance that it'll end up in the landfill and could easily save you money in the long run, even if it's initially more expensive. Even recyclable materials, if they break (and can't be fixed) require energy and other resources to reprocess and replace. Durable goods that will last a long time can be passed on from person to person. Even if your style changes and that barstool or chair isn't your thing anymore, a good strong barstool or chair will always appeal to someone else, while a broken (and unfixable) one won't.
Trica™ recognizes its responsibility as a global citizen and continually strives to reduce the environmental impact of our work and the products we create. How we impact the environment is also essential, and environmental considerations are an integral part of Trica™'s business practices. We try to educate employees to make more sustainable choices at work and home and encourage suppliers, vendors, and business partners to be environmentally responsible. We believe that environmental protection is a priority for conserving precious natural resources and the continued health of our planet.

American handcrafted contemporary furniture for over 40 years
Joe Johnston, President and Owner of Johnston Casuals™ was what you might say "born into" the furniture business. He is a third-generation furniture manufacturer. His grandfather started making coffins at the turn of the century and began creating bedroom furniture in the twenties. That business would then evolve into American Drew furniture
In 1980 he started a metal factory and began to run it. They changed the name to Johnston Casuals™.
Designers have clients and customers who have special needs and desires. You will own a truly unique item by owning a Johnston Casual
furniture piece or pieces. Johnston Casuals™ furniture pieces are functional pieces of furniture, but they are also pieces of art.
Johnston Casuals™ takes steel tubes, bars, and sheet stock, then cut, fabricate, weld, assemble, powder coat finish, put a seat or a piece of glass on them, and wrap them up. The individual, the finished product, is then packaged and shipped all over the United States and worldwide.
At Johnston Casuals™, we don't have a finished goods inventory of items. Everything you see running through our factory floor is pieces that will be manufactured and shipped to a customer once they're finished.
We're proud that we make all of our furniture from scratch and are honored to be one of the last manufacturers of handmade furniture in America.
Tobias™ Design has been a leader in the barstool and chair manufacturing field since 1996.
We manufacture and import fine Bar Stools, Chairs, and Dining Sets.

Alexander & Sheridan
Alexander & Sheridan is a Florida-based designer and wholesale distributor of excellent quality tropical furniture. It was first established in Toronto, Canada in September of 1974 and it’s been a privilege to navigate the company through over forty years of growth.
In addition to our warehouse distribution, Alexander & Sheridan imports custom furniture and accessories for commercial designers who share passion for quality and long-lasting comfortable products. The durability of our products is no coincidence, it is a careful process. The frames of our furniture are made with mature rattan poles and fish mouth joints, which are secured by wood screws and dowels. Natural rawhide bindings cover joints and wood screws.
From concept to final project, it can take over a year of improvements to attain the design, strength, and comfort we desire. We are fortunate to partner with factories in Southeast Asia that share our commitment to quality. Our furniture is durable, hand-made, and meticulously designed.
